ABOUT ISAAC KANTOR
Isaac Kantor was born and raised in Missoula, Montana. He graduated from the University of Montana with honors and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies. Isaac spent a year as a crisis relief worker for the Western Montana Mental Health Center before starting law school at the University of Montana in 2004.
While in law school, Isaac was a member of the National Moot Court team that was selected to compete nationally in New York City. Isaac graduated from law school with high honors, in the top 5% of his class, in 2007, and spent the next two years as a law clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge Carolyn Ostby in Billings, Montana.
After his clerkship, Isaac practiced law for nearly a decade at one of Montana’s largest law firms, Garlington, Lohn & Robinson, before deciding to go into private practice. Isaac launched Kantor Law Firm in 2019. He concentrates his practice on employment and labor law, insurance claims, and business law. Isaac is admitted to practice in all Montana state and federal courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Court, and the Northern Cheyenne Tribal Court.
Isaac lives in the mountains with his wife, their three children, and a small menagerie of dogs, chickens, and sheep. In their spare time, the family enjoys Montana’s outdoors, including backpacking, floating rivers, skiing, and running.

EMPLOYMENT & LABOR
Isaac has extensive experience advising employers and employees in all areas of employment law. He helps his clients avoid workplace problems by consulting on HR policies and helping employees and employers navigate workplace disputes.
He also reviews, drafts, and revises employee handbooks, employment contracts, and independent contractor agreements.
Isaac also represents clients in wrongful discharge, discrimination, and sexual harassment claims, as well as wage claims in state, federal and tribal court. Isaac also performs independent workplace investigations.
BUSINESS &
CONTRACTS
Isaac has years of experience assisting his clients with business legal needs including contract review and drafting, entity formation, and review and drafting of bylaws and operating agreements.
He also reviews and drafts tech contracts such as software licenses, cloud computing agreements, and other IT contracts.
Isaac provides advice on business legal issues, insurance needs and issues, HIPAA compliance, and human resource policies. Isaac also litigates business contract disputes and other business cases.

CLAIMS
Isaac has extensive experience with insurance claims and has evaluated and litigated many insurance claims cases on behalf of claimants, insureds, and insurers.
Isaac helps his clients determine who is responsible for the claim, if there are third-party claims, what to do when claims have been denied, and if there are any areas of bad faith.
Isaac is particularly experienced in reviewing insurance coverage issues, including complex claims, and has represented both insureds and insurers in these disputes.
